Flatevaag is a 3 km long saltwater lake pointing westwards from the shallow Vestnes Stream in the center of Vestnes . The lake is surrounded by countryside on the southern side Misfjord and Flate, and to the north Stokkeland and Aasbygd. In the western end the wilderness camp of Vestkyst Safari is located on Bjerkaneset. Flatevaag is an excellent area for kayaking in almost all weather conditions.

Hollingen is a small village and the landing site for the ferry to Aukra , located on the north-eastern side of Julsundet . Hollingen is the idyllic harbour for the Hollingsholm Baathavnlag.

Julsundet is the deep north-south strait between Otrøya and the western part of Molde mainland. It is positioned on the inside of Aukra and is one of two entrances to the Romsdalsfjord . Passing this strait you will see the remarkable differences in the lanscape from the low and shallow areas outside and into the wide fjord surrounded by the Romsdal Alps.

Lervaag is a small and beautiful bay and the best natural harbour in Vestnes . The bay is located on the southern side of Romsdalsfjord , pointing westwards and with the Lervaag Islet as a shelter in the middle of its entrance. This bay is probably one of the best kept secrets in the area, and if you do not know the location, it can be hard to find. At the end of the bay there is a sandy beach for swimming and it is a great starting point for biking and hiking.

Molde is a nice city situated on the northern side of the Romsdalfjord overlooking all the Romsdal Alpes on the southern side. The city is well known as the "City of Roses " and for the Molde International Jazz Festival . Molde is the center of the region and with a lot of possibilities for outdoor activities like sailing, kayaking, biking, fjord- and coast safaries, hiking, fishing, as well as museums, bathing etc. Molde is the general starting point for Seilper`s standard products.

Romsdalsfjord is 88 km and the 9th longest fjord in Norway. Accessible by two straits, Julsundet is to the north and Mifjorden to the west, and on the southern side it is surrounded by the Romsdal Alps.

A lush and beatiful island in the middle of the Romsdalfjord . Previously there vere 5 farms and fishing traditions here. Today there are only a few residents and parts of the island and its islets are designated as a nesting place for birds.  The Tautra islets stretches westwards towards Rekdal and are used for recreation puposes.

Vestnes is the center of Vestnes County and the homeport for Seilper`s activities. Vestnes is situated right in the middle of Møre and Romsdal and all the famous spots in the area can be reached within 4 hours of driving from here. In Vestnes there are a lot of possibilities for outdoor activities, such as sailing, kayaking, biking, fjord and coast safaris, horse riding, mountain hiking, fishing and wilderness camps. Vestnes is the point of orign for all boat- and shipbuilding traditions in our area. The guest harbour of Vestnes Smaabaatforening is recommended.

Vestnes Stream is the narrow and shallow stream from Romsdalsfjord in to the saltwater lake Flatevaag . The first wooden bridge from 1844 is still used for walking and biking, but today there are two additional bridges crossing the stream.
